Alakazam are a race of human-like creatures desended from fox-like creatures. They have two large ears on the top of either side of its head, and two somewhat sinister looking eyes in the middle of its face. Its eyes lead down to its nose and mouth and its relatively large mustache that grows out on the two sides of the narrower section of its face. On both of their arms, they ware leather straps that they decorat with gems feathers, or bones. they also wear leather cloaks, and loin cloths that they decorat as well. Following this, they wear leather straps around their legs that form sandels. Each of the genders have three fingers, and are noticeably missing the claws it had on each of them in its youth. they're feet consists of three toes, two toes in the front and one near the ankle of the foot, that each have one large white colored claw attached to it. the Alakazam are a religios folk and worship deities of nature, along with that they are extremly intelligent.
only the oldest and wisest become shamans to the gods. much of there culture is rather spoon-ish shape, their staves, and weapons all strikingly resembly spoons.

your character development is quite creative, kinda story bookish, i think this style looks ok with out extreme detail, its got a soft feel to it, thats just what i see, take care man...
In a way this may be the way Alakazam's lived in the wild before humans began encroaching on their lands.
I always thought Alakazam's might think humans are curious things with some having hints of being psychic to the degree of the Young Ones (Abras). Also I wonder if they'd at times sneak into human villages and maybe bring back the human made objects of the sacred shape.
Human made spoons may have been a source of confusion. Why would humans know of the shape if they weren't of their kind.
Maybe the first human to befriend an Alakazam was a psychic practicing with a spoon.
Eh I just had thoughts about them after reading all your entries on the Abra Evolutionary line and well it just came out.
The "Sacred Shape" idea came from the fact that not only that their weapons and staffs look like spoons but that they're religious. So maybe their religion considered the spoon shape as being scared or something like that.
I could see Kadabra Scouts monitoring human villages psychicly listening. They probably wouldn't actively probe their minds as a psychic would be able to pick up such an act as hostile or at least extremely rude. Passive scanning may have lead to some beginining to comprehend their language and although they couldn't vocalize in it they could use their telepathic voice to communicate to the humans.
I'd Presume the most common type of communication for various groups of Kadabras and Alakazams would telepathic communication (especially in combat) not just because of speed but if they were on a hunt telepathic communication wouldn't be noticed by the prey and would be ideal. Every individual's voice both psychic and vocal are unique to them.
Although to humans with their relatively poor hearing would hear them as having pretty much the same audible voice although they might be able to tell between male and female.
Another one of my favorite renditions. I love the "magic word" family as I used to call them. Alakazam was on my original team in the red version all those years ago.
Ahem
Anyway, I really like pokerealism, and I love your version the best personally. Almost all the other versions ive seen have these guys growing some weird bonelike caraprace (sp?) over their shoulders. It never works. Ever. You put the robe/clothe spin on it. And it works so well. YOu found a great way around the problem. Also, the shammanism element really works as well.
I originally didn't like the look of this lines design whilst scanning through your gaallery bbut reading your descriptions and looking at the details warmed up the idea to me and I actually quite like it. _Thumbs up-

Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
