ok before everyone starts jumping down my throat about this one.. yes he is swimming, and yes i know magmar is a fire type.
this design, i based him off a Marine Iguana, and gave it a sharp beak for crushing shells once again.
it lives on the coasts of Cinnabar Island and Sea Formed, Islands like the marine iguanas on the coasts of the Galapagos Islands.
it also had powerful front claws for clawing off mussels and barnacles off ocean rocks, and it still has its thick head for butting rival males over females.

This is a really fantastic interpretation, and definitely the best one I could find! I like using realistic Pokemon interpretations as references when writing Pokemon fanfic, and I'd love to reference this one in an upcoming Magmar battle, if that's all right? I'd provide a link to this at the end of the chapter.
